How it works
See how each role moves through Get-Contractorz
GetContractorz connects several related workflows, but each role has a different job to do. Here is the standard flow for Managers, Clients, Employees, and Marketplace visitors.
Role overview
Each person has a clear place in the workflow.
Manager
Runs the complete business workspace.
Client
Accesses service information and completes required actions.
Employee
Views and completes assigned jobs.
Marketplace visitor
Browses public business listings and contacts a chosen business directly.
Business setup and Manager workflow
From new account to business workspace.
Create your account
A newly registered account begins with the User role.
Register your business
Complete the business-registration form in the Business tab. Once the business is created, the account role changes to Manager.
Configure your services
Select the supported service category or categories that apply to your business and configure the services you provide.
Prepare your service workflow
Create service questionnaires and terms and conditions, then add clients and team members.
Run client and job workflows
Create personalized services, collect client questionnaires, activate services, assign employees, manage job completion, and handle related quotes, invoices, payouts, and business information.
Client invitation and questionnaire workflow
From invitation to active service.
The Manager creates the client
The business creates a client record in GetContractorz.
The client receives an invitation
The client follows the email link to create or access the account.
The Manager creates a personalized service
The service is prepared for that client and connected to the required questionnaire.
The client completes the questionnaire
The client receives a service-related magic link, submits the questionnaire, and the Manager reviews it before changing the service from pending to active.
The client accesses relevant information
The client can access applicable services, quotes, and invoices based on their account and service status.
Employee job workflow
A focused workflow for the person completing the job.
Receive assigned work
The Employee sees the jobs assigned by the Manager.
Complete the job
The Employee completes the assigned work through the available job flow.
Upload before-and-after images
The job can include visual documentation so the Manager can review the before-and-after work images.
Quotes, invoices, payouts, and reporting
Keep business administration connected to the operational record.
Managers can create and send quotes, manage invoices, review payout information, manage business and banking information, and view general dashboard information and analytics.
Marketplace visitor workflow
Discover a business. Contact it directly.
Browse registered businesses
Use the Marketplace to explore real registered business listings.
Review public information
View the public details supplied for that business, including category and location information where available.
Choose who to contact
GetContractorz does not choose a provider for you. You decide which business you want to contact.
Arrange service directly
Communication, service terms, pricing, and the final service arrangement happen directly between you and the selected business.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about roles, activation, and service workflows.
Does a business need manual approval before becoming a Manager?
No. There is currently no manual business-approval process. The user completes business registration and the role changes to Manager when the business is created.
Why does a client receive a magic link?
A magic link can be used as part of the service workflow so the client can access and complete the service questionnaire or relevant service action.
Who activates a client service?
The Manager reviews the submitted questionnaire and changes the service from pending to active.
Can an Employee manage the full business workspace?
The verified Employee role is limited to assigned-job activity and before-and-after image uploads. The complete business workspace belongs to the Manager role.
Does contacting a Marketplace business create an obligation?
GetContractorz itself does not create the service agreement. Any obligation depends on the terms agreed directly between the visitor and the selected business.
